Good service and food

This has always been a good place to go for a quick meal or snack and it does an excellent pot of tea. The prices have risen since its refurbishment and go on the side of expensive for some things but still cheap for others. The tea is great and served in large pots with extra water. I especially like the melts of which they do a variety, and the main meals are good too. The service is good and although they employ a lot of young girls these have always been pleasant and more work-oriented than some other places I have dined in. A good place to relax and unwind, it gets very busy but with the table set out you can feel more homely. Recommended for the tea and most of the food.
