Frankie & Benny's has a traditional 1950s New York feel to it with its original family photographs, traditional wooden furniture and period music. They serve a wide range of authentic American and Italian dishes at their restaurant including pizzas, pasta, burgers, ribs and fries. They also cater for vegetarians and serve cocktails, beers, wines and spirits at their bar. It is an ideal party or pre-cinema venue.

This is the place to go after a trip to the cinema and MacDonalds just won't do. The food is pretty standard - pizza and pasta dishes mostly, and it can get expensive. The decor is pretty hideous - it's dark and very dated, it has a really old-fashioned look about it. The waiters are always friendly, although the last time I went it took forever to get served (though it was busy). The best thing about this place is the desserts, it has a great selection and ones that you can share between people which is fun (unless you have greedy friends), the hot chocolate brownie is a personal fave. I think this restaurants best selling point is its locality, being near the cinema makes it extremely handy to go for a quick meal.

I always look forward to coming here! I usually come here after going to the odeon across the road and look forward to the meal more than the film. There is often a wait in the evening at weekends if you haven't booked but I have not had to wait for more than 15 minutes. There is a lot of choice on the menu and I have enjoyed everything I have ordered. I normally have a pizza of some sort which I always thoroughly enjoy. There is a good atmpsphere and they usually have Frank Sinatra playing in the background to add to the mood. There is a bit a a downfall though as there always seems to be a lot of kids parties in. The lights will be dimmed and the tune happy birthday and congratulations and celebrations will be played many times throughout the evening when bringing out a desert with a candle in it. This can get rather annoying and has become a joke with me and my partner as we always guess how many times it will play happy birthday during each of our visits. This said though the food is good enough for us to put up with this. The prices are good value and the staff are mostly friendly even though they are very busy. I have been here many times and will visit many times in the future.
